It would be wonderful if all the governors could coordinate on a “spring cleaning” month every year. Likely the people on death row had their own killing spree and nobody in the media is giving a rip about the victims or their families.

If they used an inert gas they wouldn’t expensive chemicals that are difficult to obtain.

They'd just suffocate as the oxygen was displaced.

They'd pass out and have a much more merciful end than their victims did.

Then they can face God and deal with the consequences for eternity.

I saw a crime show where a British guy who murdered his wife in 1937 was hung within three months. That's more like it, especially in these days of trace evidence and DNA technology.

IMO, if DNA nails the murderer, the appeals process is considerably shortened. In the same vein, if DNA is conclusive, no plea bargaining Murder One down to Murder Two, or worse yet, Manslaughter.

Murderers today send more time on death row than their victims did on planet Earth.

Sounds like an interesting movie where the Soviets just got things done.

Several years ago a documentary I do not recall the title of, discussed how the Russians at that time took the condemned to a very small cage, where the head was held firmly in place while the guards just blew out the brains.

Better yet, several decades ago Readers Digest had an article where in Maoist China there would be a guard standing behind a prisoner, and as the judge ruled the death sentence, the guard immediately carried it out, right there in the court room. NOW THAT’S EFFICIENT!!!
