There is only one way to lower prices: a free market economy. No controls as it was when we were children before Medicare and business paying your medical insurance. Americans like myself were taught never to put a hand out to our government. In two generations, this old American way is considered heartless?

This country doesn’t owe me a damn thing. I owe it everything.
I have taken advantage of the V.A. for my healthcare needs and I thank the U.S. taxpayer every time for it, even though my insurance, through my wife’s employer, for which she pays most of the premium,has to pay the bill. Back in the day, the V.A. was totally funded by US tax dollars and was not means tested.
Things change. We have to play the cards we are dealt til we can change things again.
