We homeschool... very HS friendly. For conservative values, I recommend Raleigh over Asheville. The state, as a whole, is fairly conservative but there is a balance for the political parties. Not versed in specific gun laws.
Concealed Carry permits available and open carry is legal. You must go to the Sheriffs office to get a pistol buying permit and wait about 5 days for response & permit(s).
