I’m sure they figure that as long as we are still squabbling among ourselves, we’re no great threat to anything beyond the moon.
Whatever, else, I marvel at our tremendous fortune to live in the greatest country on earth, during the days when we sent mankind to the moon (and may yet again—or even to Mars), and watching it all as it happens.
