I was there for the 97 Tiger Woods. He overshot the 17th green and my dad’s foot slowed the ball down enough to not go all the way into the footpath behind. He DID try to get out of the way. Watching my Dad try to dance was funny. Watching him try to get out of the way dancing was REAL funny.
I saw Nicholas in 1970. I was standing with my Dad on the 15th tee watching Sam Sneed putt out (my Dad played in a Pro/Am Tournament with Sneed once), when I felt like someone standing behind me. I turned around and looked up, and Jack Nicholas was looking over my head watching the same putt out.
Then we turned around and watched Nicholas crush a drive on 15. Great Day!
Unfortunately, both my Dad, and My Uncle who got the tickets both passed away in 1998. It’s not the same any more.
