Savannah Guthrie tried to shut down the rumors of friction at NBC over new hire Megyn Kelly, saying she feels 'lucky' at the change to work with the longtime Fox News anchor.
The Today Show co-host was asked about Kelly in an anchor roundtable hosted by The Hollywood Reporter.
'She and I have a lot in common, actually. We both went to law school and then ran screaming for our lives away from the law,' Guthrie said. 'We both came up in D.C. But yeah, we're excited to have her. I think she's going to be great. We feel lucky. We feel like it was a great get.'

Poor Savannah. She’s going to still be wondering what hit her when Kelley’s PR team puts her through the publicity wringer and gets her kicked out to the curb.

I think you’re right. It seems to be a foregone conclusion that this network wants to move the New Car into the main showroom as soon as possible. The ‘talent update’ will be done with some degree of diplomacy, so as not to be too obvious, but it will be done.
In the aftermath, the show’s producers and general managers may be wishing they had left Savannah in place. If it works well, good for Megyn, she is a very able performer. If it doesn’t work, she’ll be on her way to becoming another Katie Coric.

During the presidential election live coverage, I watched all the channels and Savannah Guthrie was actually decent.
At one point, John Dickerson(CBS) was holding back tears.
That, my friends, was hilarious!!
I watched the NBC Election on Youtube & surprisingly Savannah acted pretty normal & rationally LOL
