The waters of Lake Minnetonka aren’t so pure?

That’s right, he served in the Navy.
To: Jarhead9297
Damn, bummer. He was Navy too and served until 1983, according to his Wikipedia bio. He saw the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon, which he described as a “mushroom cloud”.
Rest in peace, Charlie Murphy.

“57 is pretty young, but cancer can take over at any time and at any age.”
My brother passed last Saturday at the age of 56 from thyroid cancer. He fought it for 8 years.
I’m one of the pall bearers later this afternoon.
Cancer sucks.

Great strides made in curing childhood leukemia. But when you get it as an adult, it is usually 1-2 years (if that long), then fatal. Prayers for Charlie Murphy’s loved ones.

Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories were classic.
When Chappell bailed on his show, I wanted to hear more True Hollywood Stories from Charlie.

Then look for the Rick James stuff. It’s all in the second season os Chappelle’s show, if you can find the DVD.

I’m sorry you had to go through that experience. It sort makes one better appreciate the time we do have and did have.

Aww, that’s a shame. I enjoyed him on Chappelle’s Show. RIP.
