I would watch the site and drop our own very small weapon on it. Then the story would be that their test went horribly wrong. Gives cover to the Chinese to mop up. Kim gets removed from power and the world is more stable. Next up, Iran.

Asia markets aren’t doing anything interesting now. Heck Korea’s is a little up.

May be nothing to all this furor.

If true, then President Trump depopulated a city without firing a shot. However, the probability that Pyongyang is mostly a Potemkin village anyway, is high.

Ok but the Chinese and US military moves are real, as are preparations for a NK military test, I think.

Most people don’t even have cars... only government people have them. How the heck are people supposed to evacuate?

The west coast is already glowing from Fukushima. You won’t hardly miss your hair. Think of the savings on shampoo?

Probably not a bad time for us preppers to make sure all is in order. I just filled up my gas tanks, and just about everything else is ready. Assuming the war doesn’t escalate beyond the Norks, the worst case is for limited strikes on the US and a fallout cloud to deal with (immediate effects). Beyond that, major disruption of our lives, as our economy will pretty much shut down for a while.

So be sure to have cash, gas, ammo, food, and water ready, should things turn bad in the next few days.

Logged in just to say thanks for that Tombstone link. One of my favorite movies.

And agree with your sentiment re: Trump v Lil Kim.

Please, Lord, don’t let this worm try to slide in a purge of the poor people there.

Good point EQAndyBuzz, by keeping North Korean in a constant state of Def-Con 2, they will soon become fatigued, and perhaps lead to an internal regime change.

This has been a rumor for several hours on twitter but people can’t confirm it

actually the rumor is 600,000 people not the whole city. there are only so many bomb shelters and not enough room for everyone

I find it hard to believe since there going to be a big party this weekend anyway

What’s the chance the the Norks and China are playing games with Trump?

Very low. China is a very deliberate nation and they do not shift course quickly. In the past few years it has been clear to observers that their patience with the Nork Dork was wearing thin. This is not the old Communist China - they measure the bottom line today in dollars. North Korea is an impediment to that goal and if Kim is removed the chances are great that their trade would increase with a unified Korea (South Korea is very wealthy).

North Korea has become an embarrassment to them. Their client state is an abject failure and it is getting worse. Their client state is also threatening the stability of the region and China respects stability. China is also coming of age on the world scene and they are very tuned into the idea of “prestige”. If they can get rid of the embarrassment they will gain prestige on the world scene. In return, Trump will remove our troops from South Korea increasing their power in their own hemisphere.

I think Trump may be on to something here.

There is always that chance.

Suspend all shipments from China to the US.

That chance is over.
