Poor lady. I can’t even imagine what that would feel like and never want to find out. Wow.

Glad it took the dog and not the child.

Had she shot the creature she would be up on charges already.

True enough. I bet there are some security screens and doors in that place soon.

She might want to think about closing her doors and windows at night. This time, the dog took one for the team. Next time, someone else might be the meal.

The cat *would* have taken the child first if it wasn’t under covers.

They had left the bedrooms French doors partially open to let the dog out.

Exactly and now that the cat has found a good, easy food source it will be back.

Don't give up hope yet!
Perhaps it is an inclusive mountain lion that wishes to raise a dog for diversity purposes?

We need to ban the sales of lockpick tools to known mountain lion felons.

This sounds almost identical to a story some months ago. Mountain lion walked in an open door and grabbed the dog if I’m not mistaken. I think it happened in Durango, CO.

The animal took the small dog from the bed and walked out, she told deputies.

Disregard previous post. Clicked and read the article.

Had she shot the creature she would be up on charges already.Only if she called the police.

It wasn’t the dog’s scent that attracted it, it was the child’s. Set a spring trap chained to something next to the french doors or it’s coming back in again.
