Sadly, I think Beck is right here. Now that they've gotten the scalps of Ailes and O'Reilly, they're going to go after everyone else at Fox until they turn it into MSNBC.

The mainstream media thinks that if they do that, they'll shut down conservative voices and benefit their "boys", CNN and MSNBC. And they'll once again be in control.

But I think the beneficiaries will be One America, Newsmax, and The Blaze. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them pick up O'Reilly in some capacity. Whatever else, he's good for ratings -- and he might lift another network to where he helped life Fox.

And the Murdoch boys will try to destroy everyone involved, along with their buddy ?Soros. But it won't work with real Americans.

Not having TV since 1997 makes this a non-story for me. I see TV as strictly an entertainment source. I get my news from the internet. International sources.

And Oreiley has been dead to me since his comentary on the Swift Boat Vets. I’ve seen him as part of the problem ever since.

But Rupert Murdoch wasn’t ever a conservative, either. Almost all of his other media holdings are liberal rags.

What he was, was a smart businessman. He saw a market for a lone conservative news island among the ocean of liberal offerings and created Fox News to cater to it.

Like him or not, Roger Ailes built a ship at Fox News that could not to be sunk. Rupert Murdoch was part of that, but his children and wives hate Fox News.

How many wives does he have? Also, it's not clear whether we are talking about Ailes or Murdoch.

Are they coming after the Fox Business channel too? I like that channel better than regular Fox.

Wow. Makes me realize I don’t miss Beck at all. I’m sure there’s a kernel or two of truth buried in there but his egocentric paranoia overwhelms it.

If this Beck account is true, it fits in with a story I saw on another thread about Media Matters' involvement in the "O'Reilly Takedown" and the attempted "Rush Takedown". The other story alleged that MM co-ordinated a campaign of fake outraged Twitter users to bombard the advertisers to the point that the advertisers started to bail. There is nothing to stop MM from using this tactic on One America or The Blaze as well. If those networks are going to survive this total war from the left, they are going to have to have as advertisers conservative companies who don't give a rat's behind about fake outraged tweeters and emailers and petition signers.

Fox news is unwatchable, even Fox Business Network is fading for me. Mornings with Maria has way too much estrogen going on. I watch Varney, Trish Regan, Liz Claman, Charles Payne and Lou Dobbs. That’s it, then it’s reading time, Netflix or a DVR’d classic movie.

Really ..????

If they’re that stupid .. then they’ll just love the horrible new ratings .. proving that America watched because the programming was mostly about GOOD AMERICAN VALUES .. and not the propaganda against President Trump.

But, since the Murdoch brothers are vapid liberals, I don’t think they will expect to see the landslide of people changing channels after they get through pruning out any of the even slightly conservative flock members.

But, maybe it’s time for a REAL CONSERVATIVE NETWORK - and I’m not even thinking “Beck” ..!!!! He’s already out in lala land somewhere .. won’t listen to him.

Without Fox News, we probably would not be here today, as a nation. I truly believe that. Without Fox News, I don’t know if we would have weathered the storm of the economic crash, if we would have weathered the storm of — of 9/11. After that, when it started all going crazy and everybody was talking about how, you know — how bad George Bush was in, and Michael Moore was alleging that George Bush was part of the conspiracy. Without a balance to that, I don’t know if we would have been — be here today. And certainly, we wouldn’t be here on talk radio because talk radio would have been the only target. It would have been the last — the last beachhead. And we would have been gone. They would have put us out, but they were busy trying to put out Fox News.

He makes a strong case here.

O’Reilly will have no problem finding a new job.

He will move further to the political Left and start attacking ALL Conservatives.

And, once he becomes a certified Liberal, women, and the MSM, will ignore his alleged history of sexual harassment.

For me, the "beginning of the end of Fox News as we knew it" was after they sucker-punched the Republican primary candidates during the first debate in 2015. I stopped watching the Fox News Channel after that.

O’Reilly is no conservative. His leaving has nothing to do with him being a conservative. It has everything to do with him being a serial sexual predator and a dirty old man, not to mention an arrogant jerk.
As for Hannity, last time I looked he has always loved his wife, is a gentleman and has never had as much as a whiff of a sexual scandal against him. And unlike O’Reilly, Hannity IS a conservative, and has been for long, long time.

The problem for Fox is that if they go left, how do they differentiate their leftist trash from the leftist trash on CNN and MSNBC? Also, is there room for one more leftist network in the cable news space?

I agree. If Beck has any sense of what is going on, he’d change his cable production of the Blaze to strictly the O’Reilly method of reporting. Perhaps going so far as bringing O’Reilly in as a partner. At this point I believe that Bill is no longer interested in the financial aspect but the essence of reporting the real news.
