Russia and China’s intentions are as yet not completely clear. A free united Korean Peninsula will hopefully be the final outcome - then the US and the Korean people can claim victory this some now sixty five years later and honor those who sacrificed and look toward the future.

I’m with you in spirit, but its never going to happen. China will never allow it. They want a buffer zone run by a state that they control. They cannot control freedom.
