If he was what I`d call a “JFK/Scoop Jackson” democrat, that’s understandable. He didn’t leave so much as they left him.

This has been presented and gone over several times, over the years.

What’s your point Hal?

JFK would have been too conservative for some RINOs today

He was registered as a Democrat between 2001 and 2009.

Your point?

How does this help to make America great again? Where's the beef?

Hmmm. I just learned tonight that my Obama loving, Clinton loving, Bush hating, Reagan hating sister-in-law LOVES TRUMP.

Is this good news?
I thought so until I ran across this article.
Now I’m scratching my head.

Yet he promoted more Conservative ideas than over half of his GOP Competitors standing on that Stage.

Trump is not an Ideologue and he has never been. As far as this Thread goes, is there one FReeper that doesn't know this about Trump already?

Yes, true — twice. New York State voting records show he changed his registration 6 times. He’s been a Republican three different times, a Democrat twice, a member of the New York Independence Party once, and an independent.

Early on I considered myself a democrat because where I grew up EVERYONE was a democrat.

So was Reagan.

So that should make Trump a great president.

I care about what DT says and does NOW. So far he looks to be good on SCOTUS and good on 2A. We shall see about the rest.

Economic performance has a lot more to do with what the Fed does, than whichever party happens to be in power. Moreover tax, spend and regulatory changes can take years to have a noticeable effect, making it very hard to assign blame or credit to specific administrations.

I would take a Congressman Larry McDonald (D-GA) over just about any but a handful of R’s in Congress today. Most R’s today are worthless on social conservatism.

I was a Democrat once a long time ago when I was young and stupid. So what? I’m a shell-backed conservative now that I’m older and wiser. And not a RINO/GOPe/National Review/Bill Kristol type of “true conservative” either, but the real deal!

You want to make something out of that, Mr. NeverTrump nattering nabob of negativism troll who keeps posting anti-trump posts here under the guise of “concern”?

You’d be MUCH happier if you would stop posting here and go post over at therightscoop dot com, where they’ll just LOVE posts like you keep posting.

I was hesitant to vote for Trump as he was so recently a Democrat. That was the only holdup for me. But I did vote for him.
