I was wondering if Trump prefers Congress impeach Comey, since both sides are mad at him, after all. It’s possibly the only thing the two parties can come together long enough to agree on.
Comey is a dignified man. I believe if it gets much hotter, he will decide to resign on his own.
That’s a good question. I think Trump prefers not to impeach because it would take away what little spotlight there is on other so “investigations” of Hitlery, Abedin, et al.

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see Trump not just canning the guy. I would think that he would view the congressional impeachment route as a big waste of time for a body he needs to get a lot of legislation through. Secondly, impeachment would involve proving some sort of charge, whereas in firing Comey , he just has to say “out you go,” no reason need be given.
