Feds give Trump ally 87 months for coming to aid of Cliven Bundy (BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF)
New Hampshire Union Leader ^ | 5/31/2017 | Dan Touhy

Jerry DeLemus of Rochester, who pleaded guilty in connection with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's armed standoff in 2014, was given a more harsh federal prison sentence Wednesday than prosecutors asked for after the judge called him a "bully vigilante."

DeLemus, the 62-year old co-chairman of President Trump's 2016 New Hampshire campaign veterans' coalition was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison on two charges--conspiracy to commit an offense against the U.S. and interstate travel in aid of extortion.

Since his arrest, De Lemus has been in a federal prison for nearly 15 months.

DeLemus was the first prison sentence in Bundy case. Another 18 arrested in connection with standoff are in custody.

After his arrest in March 2016, prosecutors called DeLemus a "mid-level leader and organizer of the conspiracy."

Federal prosecutors had asked for DeLemus to receive a six-year prison term after he pleaded guilty in August.

But Judge Gloria Navarro Navarro cited DeLemus' attempt to withdraw that plea and his refusal to be remorseful as reasons she went above that recommendation.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, prior to sentencing DeLemus told the court he would do it all again, except for bringing firearms across the country.

He said he joined up with the Bundy armed standoff soon after it began and believed government snipers had surrounded Bundy's home......

Former Republican State chairman Jack Kimball had been an organizer of those protesting the DeLemus prosecution and expressed outrage on Facebook Thursday.

"I am telling all of you that this decision cannot and will not stand. We must turn outrage into action ASAP! That is all I have right now,".....

Kimball and other supporters said if DeLemus received a federal prison term, President Trump should consider pardoning him.

"I hope so. Time will tell," said State Rep. Al Baldasaro, R-Londonderry.....

"Kangaroo Court" Judge Gloria Navarro handed down the first sentence in connection with the Bunkerville Standoff in April 2014 near Bundy Ranch.

Jerry DeLemus plead guilty, but wanted to withdraw his guilty plea. He failed to get it withdrawn and today he got an 87 month sentence for being a "mid level man" in the standoff.

The federal prosecutors only wanted six years but Judge Navarro with harsh words handed down a 7 and a quarter year (87 month) sentence.

DeLemus has been in jail for the 15 month period Navarro extended his sentence by in her decision. I think the Kangaroo Judge is wee weed up and vengeful.

Jerry DeLemus was co-chairman of Veterans for Trump during the New Hampshire Primary last year.

After the primary he was arrested by federal marshals and imprisoned in Nevada since then.

TIME FOR A PARDON, MR. PRESIDENT......

Judge Gloria Navarro is a shockingly evil woman. I hope all decent people will (within the law) give her as hard a time as possible. Of course they should shun her, even though she probably hates normal people so much she would like that. They should shun her husband (in the unlikely event that she is in a real marriage), and her children (in the even more unlikely event that a man was ever drunk enough to get her pregnant).

Contractors should refuse to work on her home, and mechanics should refuse to work on her car. If she comes to a restaurant, the hard-working wait staff should let her sit there until she leaves - still hungry. People like her should never again interact with decent people.

A presidential pardon ASAP would be a good way to reach her in the way the little children marching in the streets of Birmingham in May 1963 got Bull Connor’s goat and caused him to unleash water cannons and dogs making him a worldwide symbol of evil.

Also, a DJT pardon would get her worked up like Barney Greenwald worked up Captain Queeg on the stand in “The Caine Mutiny”.

I think she has a short fuse.

She was recruited to be a federal judge by Harry “Crooked” Reid and was recommended by obamma. She appears to be a gun hating racist who judges by her own biases and not by the rule of law and or the constitution. It is going to take a long time to get rid of the cancerous seeds planted by obamma but it has to be done...NOW.

Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He joins a long line of “political prisoners”.

A travesty to say the least. God bless his new life. He will need it.

I do believe pics are in order. Gloria needs to have her pic in front of folks who believe in justice. Not her brand.

That’s what I was expecting to hear that she is a rabid lefty that was hired by Clinton or Obama. Once we know that, how can anyone expect a fair trial when the judge is partisan.

Small Pic available at link. The sentence is certainly not unusual for political prisoners. Have a case locally that was similar. Man got 5 years for being a vocal T party proponent, accused of tax evasion, even though the IRS said he was doing nothing illegal. Very sad to watch a good man be railroaded and convicted on bogus charges, during the time the IRS was literally attacking T Party groups.

Judge Navarro has also been a speaker for the Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorneys on the topic of “How to Effectively Represent Non-English Speaking Clients and/or Clients with a Different Cultural Background.”

From her .gov bio page.
