June 1st means summer, right? Oh wait this is Sweden after all. Bring on the snow and hail!
Last month in Sweden was a month of extreme weather. The far northern parts of Norrland saw record-low temperatures, the lowest since 1968 according to preliminary figures from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI).
So surely, summer should be here by now? Well, think again this is Sweden, after all. On June 1st, snow was falling over the small village of Kåbdalis in the northern county of Norrbotten. [ ]
In the arctic mining town of Kiruna, also in the Norrbotten county, residents got to experience a mix of weathers: Hail, snow, thunder, +2 in Kiruna, Ulrica Strålind wrote on Instagram.

Hell, Denver a few weeks ago got snow...
Yeah, but, but, but global warming is making it ten degrees warmer in the arctic and somewhere all the permafrost is melting and releasing huge amounts of methane and CO2. We are all doomed I tell you... Doomed!!! /s
Real science teaches us that for the past hundred thousand years the normal situation is a few hundred meters to a mile thick sheet of ice for everything north of Omaha. So welcome back, humanity, to the down slope of Earth's climate cycle.
Get used to it:
As Arctic sea ice melts, that atmospheric humidity causes increase in snowfall and snow cover in other Arctic regions.
This causes “large-scale, long-term winter cooling” in western Asia and (maybe) Europe. (Cohen 2013).
Iow, the melting sea ice is just being slightly moved to land as snow cover.
Which reflects sunlight, causes cooling.
we haven’t been out of the 50’s for awhile now- the other day it was in the 40’s- rain rain rain- cold, damp- miserable- Brign on global warming
I recently read an article by a global warming advocate who claimed that global warming would cause the earth to get colder before it got warmer. (!)
Those guys have an answer (or, more accurately, a lie) for everything.
Oh Ice Sheet.. Oh Ice sheet..
How can I ignore thee?
Thy very presence signals a new age
An Ice Age and sheets as thick as liberals skulls.
