Why ? Give the money to a monastery instead.
Would they allow a cross to be displayed?
If it is on private property, I have no problem with this although the health nazis may try to fat-shame it.
People will hurl feces and bacon at it.
As long as they don’t want to behead or blow people up, I am okay with it.
islamic mosques shouldn’t be allowed in the USA. They should be considered a hate group.
Why would anyone hurl bacon and feces at a buddah?
Let me check for Buddhist terror against Americans
You’re clear. My Blessngs to You, Shinto, Hindu, and any number of peaceful sects.
That’s probably not what Siddharta had in mind. Will tourists come by the millions to rub the statue’s belly for luck?
Wasn’t Japan Shinto when they attacked us at Pearl Harbor?
ROFLMAO...I’m sorry, I can’t stop laughing...ROFLMAO...
Buddha is harmless. Why not put up a giant statue of the founder of the world’s most violent religion?
..with a billboard of ‘The Perfect Man’ next to it.
The bacon part beats me but the feces thingy may be a reminder the buddah dude ate his own feces on his path to achieving enlightenment.

Because it would be an eye-sore.
The royal family of Japan used to claim lineage to the sun goddess Amaterasu. During the Meiji Era, Shinto became the state religion as part of the governments efforts to rid the country of foreign influence. The Emperor used his divine lineage to establish himself not only as the ruler of the country, but also as the head of Shinto. It was during World War II that Shinto was laced with nationalist propaganda to gain public support. After Japans defeat, the Bunce Directive, as issued by General MacArthur, separated Shinto from the state and the Emperor relinquished his divine status. With the nationalist agenda removed from Shinto, the religion was handed back to the people to worship privately as they saw fit.
Is Al Gore running for office again?
Buddhists aren’t trying to blow me up.
I have no problem with this.
