The car had a pretty good sized dent where the biker was kicking.

In the 60s through 80s when I traveled (a lot) I carried a hammer stuck in my belt for those occasions. I smacked the fenders of several cars over 30 years, cars that would push me off the side of the road then wait for me up ahead, usually around a curve or would drive slow in front of a slow truck. The second time I used the hammer. Hearing the sound of hitting something causes a car driver to instantly swerve away from the sound. I smacked a yellow Toyota in Gainesville Fl in 79 when he pushed me into the median the third time. I had my wife on the back so was less inclined to hit back. He cut off traffic in the other lane with his swerve then chased us. I led him around Gville for a couple of miles then got tired of it and left him. In the café the next day a cop came in and sat beside me on the stool and asked me "as an experienced motorcyclist" why someone on a bike would hit a car with a hammer. I said that sometimes one car will repeatedly try to hit a bike. The first time is assumed to be accidental, the second time - one begins to worry. the third time the cyclist realizes he has to defend his life. Cop said."I kinda thought it was something like that. The most hated lawyer in Gainesville reported an incident yesterday and I thought you could enlighten me a bit, thanks."̣(paraphrased-it was a long time ago) Then he finished his coffee and left.
