ALPINE, Texas (KXAN) — Authorities in West Texas are searching for 15-year-old Stormie Clemmer.
The Brewster County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Andrew Akers, 20, in connection with her abduction. Akers is driving a 2000 Ford Ranger with an unknown license plate number. He was last heard from in Alpine, Texas.
Law enforcement officials believe the child is in grave or immediate danger. Clemmer is described as a white female, 5-foot-7, 100 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts and hiking shoes. Akers is described as a white male, 5-foot-11, 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes

IMHO there and Fort Davis are some of the better parts of Texas.

It’s beautiful there. I lived there in the seventies. Spent many a night with my young friends looking at the Marfa lights.
I was unfamiliar with Alpine and based on your post I did a Google tour around the town.

IMHO from Alpine over to Fort Davis and further West is very nice country. It is mountainous with pine trees and an average elevation of around 5000’. Some of the taller peaks are probably around 7500’. A good variety of wild animals. The problem with me being a retiree is that they are small towns with limited medical.

I lived in Del Rio around that time and would go to a friend’s ranch to help out during the summers.
I also attended Sul Ross for a summer class during that time.
Praying for God to put the right person in the right place to get her back.
