Apparently this isn’t all that important to the numerous Catholics in New Mexico who yet vote Dimocrat.
However, I don't see how abortion in New Mexico can be characterized as, particularly, the Catholics' responsibility, as you implied in your comment.
The following is the religious composition of New Mexico, according to a 2017 Pew Research Center survey:
Protestant 38%
Catholic 34%
Mormon 2%
Other Christian 1%
Non-Christian faiths 4%
Unaffiliated 21%
In the Christians acted like Christians, there would be no abortion in New Mexico.
But they don't.
That's the problem.
