Settle down MHG. DIRTYSECRET was referencing Walter Williams (who frequently sub’ed for Rush) cracking lots of jokes about buying his wife “gifts” like aprons, ironing boards and ice cleats for her Birthday (so she could wash his car during the winter) - it was hilarious, and intended to trigger “feminazi” listeners tuned in. JOKE!
Heard him do it many times. His wife even called in one time.
“”If he was married to Walter E. Williams what kind of anniversary gift do you think he would receive?””
“”Thomas Sowell is a man in full and Walter is a widower. Are you sure FR is for you?””
I THINK the post was meant to pay tribute to two equally great, intelligent men...two that we will never see the equal of in our remaining years. Those of us who have admired their writings for years have never read one without thinking of the other...
I had forgotten that - thanks...and it wasn’t Walter William’s wife - it was MRS. WILLIAMS. Love that man.
