Instrumentation Panel gave them no warning landing gear was down? I thought the cockpits were more advanced than this.

Were they primping and putting on make-up rather than watch their instruments?

But then we had a case of an American airliner crashing because the entire crew was attempting to fix a broken light bulb.

I would think that an Airbus A320 would have a cockpit alarm when the gear is not retracted after reaching a certain altitude.

I'm fairly certain this is a standard feature in almost all Boeing aircraft.

I suppose forgetting to retract the gear is better than forgetting to lower the gear.

No freaking way a true pilot, not a diversity hire from the turd-world cesspool, could NOT KNOW the gear was down.

No way.

Incompetence and stupidity.

The drag was very obvious (as even the females flying the jet discovered).

The gear and gear-doors have a speed they are not to exceed when the gear is still down. I imagine at the very least the gear doors were torn off or warped.

I think the thing those passengers should be thanking God for is that they landed and managed to leave the plane at an Airport.

Hard to believe they just continued ahead when they could not reach cruising altitude, instead of trying to figure out what was wrong. The plane must of felt very different flying at that speed with the gear down.

Isn’t there a cockpit display that would make it apparent that the gear was down? WTH were they doing- texting while flying?

“When preparing to land, they decided to lower the landing gear. At this point they realised that the wheels had been out all the while from Kolkata,” said the source.

These clowns during the flight didn't even wonder why they could not reach cruising altitude and going much slower than designed.

The first thing that comes to mind, 100% of the time, would be drag. The second thought I would have is what would cause excessive drag?

The third, are the landing gears in the down position? Duh.
