Law 4 Black Lives DC filed a complaint and posted an online petition demanding the officer be fired after they found a shirt he wore while allegedly on duty and in court “offensive, racist and threatening.”
“I don’t think someone should have a badge and a gun or the ability take someone’s life or arrest them if they may be harboring these kind of white nationalist viewpoints,” said Eugene Puryear with Law 4 Black Lives DC.
The photo of the back of the officer’s shirt depicts the Grim Reaper with the D.C. flag behind it, carrying a gun. Above the figure is a banner reading “Powershift” with the O swapped out for what Law 4 Black Lives DC calls a sun cross, “a well known and notorious white supremacist symbol adopted by the Ku Klux Klan.”

Your question wasn’t worthy of any kind of retort. The officer’s mpropriety in wearing a racially antagonistic t shirt was obvious to virtually everyone—including the police chief, and your hysterical attempt to conflate common sense opposition to racial animus with support for BLM was both disingenuous and absurd. The chief WAS right, and you—and the racist officer—were wrong...that remains true whether BLM ever existed or not.
I think a car decked out like that could be a deterrent. What bad guy with half a brain would want to be seen in the back seat of that?

Correction: Puryear, who played with the Stalinist “Workers World Party” was actually the 2016 Vice Presidential candidate (along with former WWP leader Gloria La Riva) on the Party of Socialism and Liberation ticket.
The PSL is a west coast split off faction of the WWP, just as communist, just as lunatic, and just as dangerous as the WWP. Both have held demonstrations in which violence occurred, though they often only set up the scenario for it to happen. Most of these Stalinists wouldn’t throw a rock if you paid them.
They are communist fanatics but they still have a few gray cells left that say to them, “Don’t get caught. You’ll hurt the communist movement and the PSL”, so they sucker in others to do their dirty work.
Yellow and Black banners/flags, sometimes the Orange and Black banners/flags of the WWP front, ANSWER, and even occasional they protest under the WWP front, IAC.
Check out the website of the PS&L, ‘www.pslweb.org” and especially the subsite of “www.glorialariva4president.com” where there is a site entitled “Meet the Candidates”, “Meet Eugene Puryear”.
It’s all out there in black and white for everybody to see except the media who are stupid, lazy, ignorant and the perfect dupes. They have continually failed to factually and actually identify the WWP and its various fronts, or the PSL, for what they are, the lunatic left of the communist parties.
