Imgur doesn't let you use the website any more to upload and share photos. At least on the iPad it forces you to use the app. I can easily upload web photos to the app, but I can't quickly find a link that allows me to post my photo on FR.
Can anyone explain to me exactly how I still can post photos from the imgur app to here? Thanks,

Any suggestions for easily and swiftly posting web photos here on an iPad also welcome! Imgur was soooo easy and fast.

Well, in Windows...
1. View the image in a web browser
2. Right click on the image
3. Copy the webaddress
4. Use that address for the img src in your post.

I've never had an occasion where I had to use "user agent switching" to get something done; but this might be a case where it would be useful. Basically, this means configuring your browser to lie to web sites about which browser and what kind of machine you have.
Do a web search on this for articles on the subject:

I just tell Imgur to “Open image in new Tab” (Chrome but should work the same with any browser) - then copy and past the URL from that tab into the html tag on FR. I also have good luck using Ctrl-V to paste an image on the clipboard into Imgur’s new image page - easier than other methods I’ve used.

You have to type HTML code so tough to do on an iPad!
Done it a couple times.

thanks for the link. Just the other day I was thinking about switching photo hosting sites. I’ll give this one a look.

Yes, uploading to imgur is easy. That link works for uploading. How do you get the code to post It on FR, though? There used to be a list of choices, link, direct link, etc. and Direct link held what FR needed except for the closures. Now what?

I have no problem typing HTML but where is the code now? That is my problem. I don’t know the code for the photo now. They used to have it right there.

I long press the uploaded picture, choose open image in new tab, then copy the link in the new tab.
Link always looks like https://i.imgur.com/XXXXXXX.jpg format for me.
To: Yaelle
You have to touch and hold the image - then copy - then paste into your post using html **<

Press on the image you want to post. Two options will pop up next to the image; Save Image , if you select that you save the image to your iPad.
The other option is Copy. If you select that, it captures all the html that you need and you would paste that info into the field on the app or browser.
