Two Kids Got Locked In A Grocery Store And Did Exactly What You'd Expect

Every kid has imagined what it's like to get locked in a grocery/candy/toy store all night, left to your own devices. Endless chips, cookies, ice cream, and toys, with no parents around to reign you in ... what more could a kid want?

For two pre-teens in Scotland, this dream came true, but they're definitely getting grounded because of it.

Two young boys, thought to be 12 and 13, were found in a Sainsbury's superstore around 2 a.m. earlier this week by early-morning workers, East Kilbride News reported.

The kids were found with nearly £300 (around $386) worth of food and booze on them, and a £35 camera and two memory cards were later found missing.

Ah memories....and, it says, “ £35 camera and two memory cards were later found missing.”

They thought to get photos, how nice for them.

It’s JUST like having Liberals in the WH for 8 years.

12 and 13 year olds are plenty old enough found to have their way out.

Old enough to know better then to steal and destroy property.

My thoughts was this was not an accident.

How are a 12 and 13 yearr old not “missed” overnight? How did their parent(s)/whoever, not know they were at the grocery store? No cell phone on either of them? No phone in the store (manager’s office) where they could have called for help? Nah, they both planned this.

The phrase is “REIN you in.”. As in the reins on a horse’s bridle that control the animal’s movement.

I worked at a local 7-11 on the graveyard and a buddy was security at the Kmart a few miles away. He was one of these guys who sat up behind the scenes looking out at the retail space through those mirrors they used at a time before security cameras had it covered 24/7. One night, he was tasked with the job of observing the overnight maintenance crew and they didn’t know he was up there. After his shift ended, he came over to the 7-11 with the story of how the guys who were supposed to be cleaning the Kmart up for the next day’s business, were unpacking 12 oz. drinking glasses and having ‘grenade’ wars using the aisles as their trenches...and then they would go to work cleaning up the mess. It explained why the Kmart’s cash register receipts couldn’t account for the empty spaces on the shelves of the Housewares Dept. where the drinking glasses were supposed to be.

No doubt the kids planned to spend the night in the store. Since it appears that no adults were looking for them, it may be such that these boys MIGHT be homeless. Anyone know?

Ah, but you're looking at the work of someone who probably spent (borrowed and owes) a couple hundred thousand dollars for a degree in Journalism, ending up at that pillar of reportage, Yahoo dot com. He probably rhymes the name of the author of Roget's Thesaurus with "Rockets".

It’s Scotland, so I don’t know whether those involved are regular humans or muslime savages.
