Hope they screened the 9 people for Hypothyroidism, walnuts effect the Thyroid med. Med is a fasting 1, nothing else but coffee for 2 hrs after you take. Several foods are on that list.

Yes, very bitter. Hard to eat even when so directed!
Are we related? Similar ethnicity? Levantian?

I’ve looked into that genetic testing hoping for at least a few whys about some problems I was born with.
The big reason is what if/when genetic screening becomes a way to discriminate in hiring.
Coffee and alcoholic drinks are bitter to me. Some of my relatives despise celery according to them celery tastes terrible. To me, celery has virtually none.

Is this where we post about the diet we’re on and how much weight we’ve lost?
Doctor recommended I cut out most but not all sugar and carbs and eat half a cup of almonds every day for fiber. 12 lbs off in 6 weeks without a sweat, and it’s still dropping.

Same here. Hate the bitter taste of coffee. Beer is almost too bitter to drink unless ice cold.
Even chocolate ice cream unless it’s mixed about 1/4 choc and 3/4 vanilla is too bitter for me.
Wondering if you’re the same.

Is that the same genetic marker that makes cilantro taste bad?

Basically nuts are good. I like all nuts. They are healthy and full of all those vitamins, antioxidants and other things good.
I eat nuts all the time.
