I was the same with Gotham. Enjoyed it for a while and then the lesbian stuff overwhelmed the whole thing and so it was bye bye. Not missing it.
I’m pretty sure when a new show ‘makes it’ the network has a meeting to see how it can be changed to attract more of the specific audiences that advertisers most want.
And follow through whatever the damage to the show’s overall appeal.
