The leftist MSM/Dems are saying Trump has pardoned Sheriff Joe now in order to bury the story by virtue of Hurricane Harvey getting all the press.

I maintain Trump pardoned Arpaio tonite because he is trying to mitigate the damage that has been done by Sebastian Gorka resigning Friday and how upset the MAGA base will be because of it. Both are probably to some extent true. Trump ain’t no dummy.

Or it might just be coincidence, because stories said that pardon paperwork was all ready to go a couple of days ago.

It may simply have been time to get it out there.

I think he's trying to mitigate damage done with his Afghanistan policy. That's why I keep saying the pardon is insignificant to other issues. It's a good thing, but it's insignificant when put into context.
