From what I recall it predicted the E.U. It had the Bear and the Eagle fighting the Dragon (mind you I read this during the cold war.) Fall of the Eagle. Destruction of Israel.

It did not "predict the E.U." - the European Community was already in existence at the time of the book's publication.

Not difficult for someone in the 70s to think up imagery like "The Bear," "The Eagle," and "The Dragon." (But in actuality, the book makes no mention of bears or eagles.)

Most tellingly, the author (Hal Lindsey) also fixed a time-line according to which Armageddon should have happened more than 30 years ago. (Hard to sell books today predicting events expected to happen in the far future.)

The book is on a par with science-fiction.

Regards,

The EU was established in 1999 and came into full force in 2002, and is composed of 19 EU member states which use the euro currency. Can’t find anything about the EU in the 70’s

Kiddo, no way what I was saying is something I thought as fact, just an interpretation. It was interesting but I never thought it was a of fact. I read it 30’s years ago!!! I reported my impressions.

Give me a break. Don’t know why we have so many Freepers who think somehow they are so superior that they call out the posts that aren’t perfect. I guess it gets them off.

I believe in live in and let live and life is too short.

My ex-husband was NPD. You remind me of him.
