Wow ratchet down your hyperbole about 90%. The only thing someone is going to burn alive with a flaming aerosol can is a few bugs. Even if the guy was close enough and did burn the other guy, it hardly falls in the category of an act that justifies shooting. By your definition a Bic lighter is a flamethrower. Actually the spray can does not “cast” a burning liquid, it ignites the propellant similar to that of a blowtorch. A flamethrower shoots burning gelled gasoline onto a target.

No, a lighter does not use a propellant, but the natural characteristics of the compressed (but)-ane gas. Nor is it designed to ‘stick’ when encountered.

Funny, I was unaware the spray can did the actual IGNITION /s Whatever *legal* verbiage one wishes to ‘cover all the bases’: propel, expel, cast, shoot, etc.

Lastly, I specified a FLAMMABLE liquid; not one that is\currently in a state of combustion. Even a flamethrower needs a source of ignition (same w/ the spray can & lighter).
