Well, he was not popularly elected. No prime minister is, but he got in due to the resignation of his predecessor Enda Kenny.
“The government I will lead will not be one of left or right, but will be one of the European center as we seek to build a republic of opportunity.” …
That of course means he’s more of a sellout of Irish sovereignty than Kenny was, and Kenny was a big sellout thereof.
