The cysts are somewhat of a misnomer in that they are fluid filled follicles that don’t release the egg, so not a cyst in the normal terms we would think of; a hard mass.
So the cysts in question can, but do not always, ebb and flow with the cycle.
Metformin decreases blood sugar, which lowers insulin, which lowers their too-high testosterone.
But the ladies who have this also have some tricky insulin resistance stuff going on and it helps from that aspect as well.
