Andretti is not a long term team w/o Honda and 4-5 cars (like betting on 15% of the field) they are toast. Marco is not a top tier driver. They say things skip a generation and Marco is a case study on that

Well, when you consider that Juan Pablo Montoya, Indycar and Indy 500 champion, etc only managed to ever win two NASCAR races, yeah, it’s a tough field, and a lot more difficult than people would expect. Concentrating and being able to compete on that level for multiple hours every week is very very tough.
For a lot of drivers, it is easier to give 90-95% and come home with a bag of money, and hopefully not wreck.
I’m not going to lie, I watch because I love racing. But it’s not the same as it was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. Left tracks like North Wilkesboro for the glamour of Vegas. When it became too corporate, that began the downfall.
