The Russians have interfered, meddled, influenced, EVERY election in recent memory. So has China. And Mexico. And Great Britain. And Israel. And France.

Foreign nations HAVE AN INTEREST in the outcome of our political process.

2016 was no different, but because the RESULT was against what the ELITES desired, the reflexive reaction is to say foreign influence was DECISIVE. This is a psychological way of convincing oneself that the outcome of the election was “wrong”.

The Obama Admin meddled big-time against Bibi Netanyahu in the Israeli elections some years back. Big-time. Let any country without sin cast the first stone.

In elections, there is a thing called the "October Surprise". It's a carefully timed attack launched towards the end of the election cycle in October when there is very little time for the person being attacked to effectively defend himself against the attack. As such, the gist of the attack tends to be the last thing to enter the minds of the voters before they head into their election booths. It isn' t the defense they'll remember, it's the attack-the allegations.

The October surprise is a big effing deal in politics. It's a political nuclear bomb.

Well, if you'll recall, last October, a former female Canadian Prime Minister, Kim Campbell, launched a powerful attack against Donald Trump. On October 12, she went to the media and labeled him a "Sexual predator" and the media ran with it unsurprisngly. Then she pretended as if the Canadian government wasn't attempting to affect the outcome of the US Presidential election but I think that's a little hard to swallow.

That was a coordinated October surprise attack launched by an agent of the Canadian government meant to be a decisive factor in the outcome of our election.

It failed though so not much was said of it after the Trump victory but had it panned out as they intended, I guarantee, we would all be talking about Canada interfering in our election, not Russia.

As it is, it illustrates exactly what you have stated, that foreign governments interfere in the elections of other governments. The leftist revolution is global. As such, leftists in foreign countries do not want to see a hard line right wing nationalist American government and they will do what they can to see to it that that doesn't happen.

It is worse than that; this “Russian interference” BS, which is rightly regarded by most people (including leftists) as nonsense, will be included in the official history of the 2016 election. Within a few decades it will be “the truth”.

It is being done to sanitize the worst presidency in my lifetime (Obama), and excuse/explain the loss of the most vile Dem politician in my lifetime (Hillary) - because both are held up as gods by the left.
