All NFL players had better stand with hands over your hearts next Sunday, or it's over.

You fellas in the NFL had better all stand with your hands over your hearts next Sunday, or your sport is doomed. It is pretty obvious that you don't believe this, but watch what happens next. You are forcing fans to choose between loyalty to lawless, disrespectful, bigoted black players mostly who feel they can do whatever they want whenever they want and the country governed by rules of law and requirements of patriotic loyalty to survive.

This is almost literally a choice between a collapsing path to severe division and civil war, or unity in honoring our country and flag a de-escalation of conflict. This is the dividing line in our history going forward. Either you are for this country, or, you are against it as it stands. You can NOT have it both ways. You are trying to FORCE us to accept your rebellion and get rid of Trump and all we voted for, or else.

Choose you this day whom you will serve moment for all of us. It actually is a choice between good and evil this time.

Actually your post 49 only referenced the game of cricket in the context of the term “pitch” not being borrowed from cricket. So I guess you agree that the English word “pitch” meaning a cleared field, while initially being used in a context outside sports, was indeed a cricket term before it was a soccer term. Would “transferred” be more acceptable to describe the evolution of the use of “pitch” from a cricket term to the latest ESPN soccer hipster jargon?

" Kneeling for the National Anthem in London and standing for God Save the Queen was the last straw. Disrespecting our country on foreign soil goes beyond freedom of speech."

Bingo!

I don't think this has quite sunk in yet for most. This was an unforgivable traitorous act.

You seem to favor straw man arguments. Did I ever write that soccer goalies are in bad shape, or never get injured? The point was that while soccer devotees always point out the ninety minutes of constant action, in truth there are both breaks in play, and two major players on the field who perform a vital function for very brief periods of time throughout the game. Both gridiron and soccer players condition themselves off the field. That goes without saying. But the argument was stated within the context of the game, not practice between matches. And I didn’t make it.

Bulkshit every see Kris Bryant slide into third and jump up with grin on face? MLB ball players are in excellent shape.

Although nearly all Pittsburgh players, except for the patriotic Alejandro Villanueva — who saluted the anthem — stayed in the locker room rather than go out on the field, the team shall be known henceforth as . . .

THE PITTSBURGH KNEELERS!!!

Football is the national crack addiction of sports-and it’s self destructing. I love it! Now where are all these illiterate thug types gonna find work? Oh-I know-bodyguards for rappers??

As usual, the Mainstream Media is portraying it much differently. They’re portraying this as a noble civil rights fight that’s right up there with the Selma marches, and Kap as being MLK and Malcolm X all rolled into one.

You may be right that it’s all over, but there is going to be a LOT of dragged-out kicking and screaming by SJW groups such as Antifa and BLM along the way.

I swear, if I read one more shrill article asking the question: Is THIS the final nail in tRUMP’s coffin? one more time, I’m going to gag.

Ohhhh lawdy! Pleeeyuz Madame Pres’dunt! Say-uhve us awl!

Live in nice neighborhood in Chicago walked out very early Sunday morning and there was a black gang banger with nine bullets in him on my sidewalk. Somehow he’s still alive. I understand it was the Gangster Disciples arguing on social media who’s rap song was better.

It was over for me yesterday. No Redskins for me this year. No loss as the Skins will probably suck anyway.

"None of those steroid enhanced American throwball players could run and keep up with any of those soccer men on the pitch. Same goes for baseball. Ever see an MLB player hit a triple? Have a look at what he is doing while at 3rd base. Hands on knees sucking air like he needs an oxygen tank. I've even seen some that have broken a sweat by sprinting 270 feet."

Soccer = Kicking a ball and pretending to be hurt.

Lol !

You’re asking completely ignorant people who’ve never been taught or expected to apply objective thought to consider the ramifications of their actions. Most have been coddled by their families, schools, coaches and society in general because they could play a damned game. Likewise, most of them know nothing but football and have never given the first thought to who actually pays their bloated salaries - and who they’re pissing on in the course of their so-called protests.

"You are looking at a massive economic ‘bridge-burning’ episode underway."

Exactly.

Bonus question: What does it say about the state of a country where simply standing for the national anthem is such a huge controversy?
