Joe Morgan, the former baseball player, was asked about this topic maybe 10 years ago. He said that when he (or others) played winter ball in Venezuela or whatever country, no English translators awaited. He said it would benefit players coming to America to learn English, it unites us. Peter Gammons, the liberal scribe, disagreed.
I would have rather heard Joe Morgan do color commentating in Spanish, even if he does not know the language. He was horrible.
