I would be hard-pressed to name a latino MLB player who did not eventually learn English if they did not know it before. It does not happen automatically & meanwhile there are millions of dollars & victories on the line.
There are loads of them who have been here for years and speak less English than I have learned of some other languages in a couple of months. I see them interviewed sometimes and it is ridiculous.
