It's supposed to be representative of Christ's rising from the grave? ascending from the dreary realms of death? Something like that...(I'll leave the idea of the Harrowing of Hell to that wiki link, and guys like the likable enough Joel J. Miller [who I think is Orthodox convert over at Patheos] with no further comment, or opinion of my own)
The sculpture was meant to be positive, and understood by some to be that. I'm willing to spot old Pope Bennie this one. Meaning: I can more than forgive the man for sitting there, and forgive others too who thought the artwork something special, in a good way.

If they want to kneel-that’s fine
Team owners won’t be pleased
When it affects the bottom line...
I’m not much of a football person-Spurs are the only sports team I really watch-Nemesis loves pro football, but he says he isn’t going to watch a game unless the Cowboys are playing-and not even then if they’re playing a team whose owners support this disrespect of flag and country...
And what is the deal with exercising 1st amendment rights at WORK, anyway? It is my understanding that when you are at work, you do what you are told by the person(s) who sign your f***ing paycheck-since most of us can do whatever protest thing we want after work-but not while we are on the clock-these spoiled thugs must really be special...
Glad this whole NFL thing was efficacious as far as making people more patriotic. However, as much as I share Trump’s sense of outrage over the national anthem protest, I wonder if he gave these idiots too much attention, which is what they craved. Had he ignored them, or dismissed them a bunch of boors, would they have all gotten into the act?
Hillary’s horrid successor at State, John F’n Kerry was not efficacious in representing the interests of the US…
Glad to see that the Penguins were gracious invitees to the White House… I’m tired of them winning :-), but appreciate that they’re showing proper respect in deference to the President.
