Did you see my tweet that Villanueva was my new fave steeler and that someone should come out with his jersey NOT NFL approved, with proceeds to go to a military charity and I bet they would sell at ton. Those two tweets each got over 500 likes, retweets etc. and My fave response which got a zillion retweets of it's own, was the guy who said, I'm from Texas, don't like the Steelers but would buy five of those jerseys!
It's to bad the Rooney's and the NFL get a piece of those sales but it sends a message to the PC faint hearted and the lib-loons as to what 62 million Trump supporters think of their B.S. support of Cr@pernick's "oppression stance".
I believe players (under their contract) are allowed to do such a thing. They can’t use any team or league symbols or copyrights, but can promote themselves.
I seem to recall Bettis selling stuff with “36” on it. The team/league can’t copyright a number.
