In a man’s mind he never ages passed 35.
I’m 64, I know!
Who does this guy think he is, Cary Grant?!
I couldnt stand him in the Mummy. Plus, he’s a lefty who hates Bush, Republicans etc.
Uncomfortable for whom, other than the writer?
Well, then there was Kelly McGillis in “Top Gun”. Had that bit of a crush on her back in the day, lol.
It doesn’t really matter — he’s not actually interested in his love interest. But maybe the Director is.
If you are trying to make out standing up with a chick using a walker have her turn it around.
Sean Connery?
Not a shock.
If most men had their druthers, this is how it would always be. Most would know better than to say that in mixed company.
I am guilty after 6 beers...
She is Chronologically Gifted, I am Chronologically Challenged so it will never work. I’m gonna try anyway.
....Which is somewhat uncomfortable..
Depends on your point of view.
Meg sounds jealous. Last I heard Cruise looks like he “hasn’t aged in 35 years” so whatever 30 something actress he works with is fine. Age is just a number if you take care of yourself.
Who cares? I know a 60 year old man in Brazil who showed me a picture of his beautiful 25 year old girlfriend.
The next time I saw him he told me he dumped her, much to my surprise.
Then he showed me a picture of his new girlfriend — a gorgeous 23 year old woman!
The point is, the dirty-old-man label is an American cultural hangup. In most other countries marriage is more about taking care of someone and their extended family, and less about the sex.
(though I’m sure my 60 year old friend is in good enough shape to enjoy that part too)
Isn’t that true of pretty much all leading men? I remember Sean Connery in the later James Bond movies was frolicking around with the same 20 year old ladies even when he was pushing 60...
Math wise, 25 can go into 55 more than 55 goes into 25.
They say half your age plus seven years is an acceptable (but not common) difference in what used to be known as a “May December” relationship.
Why isn’t this in breaking news
Example:
He's 44, she's 19.
Standard method for Hollywood. They pretty much never put women over the age of 30 (maybe 35 if they’re aging very nicely) in as a love interest no matter how old the guy is. Hollywood loves them some May September.
A while back I read about Robert Redford being offered a movie role and saying he wouldn’t take the role unless his character could get the girl. I don’t know how old Redford was at the time, but this wasn’t that long ago. Maybe in his 50s or 60s. Imagine a female actor of that age demanding that her character end up with the young, handsome leading man in a picture!
