Video at link. Concise map and projected time frame starts at the 5:39 mark. The vlogger was good with our previous hurricanes re projections.
NYC has much lower CAT 1 forecast at the moment.
Follow @RyanMaue on Twitter. Excellent meteorologist (and climate change “oh shut up its just weather”er).
Another purveyor of prognostication piddly diddly.
Ive put shutters up 3 times for the last cat 5s coming my way...none registered over 25 mph gusts. No more hype for me, no more shutters because of the hype. I dont want to hear it.

It’s a lot easier to put up shutters or plywood than replace an expensive window. I use hardi-backer board (cement board). Each one is marked for a particular window and I use the same screw holes each time. Easy peasy.
I think rain is the problem. Flooding from Maria etc. everything soggy. I feel sorry for Southern Florida which is said to be experience “squally weather” and rain. Like they need that!?
Not a single model has it coming anywhere close to even a Cat 2, let alone a 4 or 5. There’s too much shear in the Gulf.
Nobody has a better record than Joe Bastardi at Weatherbell. He predicted something cooking up right where this one is over a week ago.

I just listened to the local Panama City Weather and they are predicting maybe a hurricane but just barely.
Also the predicted landing is just East of P.C. but with a large margin of error
What ??? Where did this come from?
James Spann is great, also. He’s on Twitter.
Click and drag to move, mouse wheel to zoom.
But he did a great job. Glad I watched all of it, and thank you for posting.
Weather Underground is saying Cat 1, although it my stay a TS
Your post is irresponsible and a wasted attempt at humor. The tropical depression doesn’t have a name. It is not a hurricane.
