Smoking cannabis DOES make people more violent:...using the drug is the cause of crimes
The Daily Mail ^ | 4 October 2017 | Steve Doughty

Cannabis users are more likely to commit violent crime, pioneering research has shown. It warned those who smoke the drug regularly run an increased risk of using violence against others. The project is the first to demonstrate that cannabis is not only linked with violent crime but is the cause...Researchers said that cannabis causes violence and they found no evidence that the link is the other way round – ie that violent people are more likely to use cannabis...The academics said the effect of cannabis use was clear and not diminished by other factors such as patients who were heavy drinkers of alcohol.

Some of trumps pre-campaign comments called for legalizing and taxing pot and putting the proceeds into drug education programs.

Trump taught his own kids that once they were hooked on alcohol or drugs it was game over. They they couldn’t compete in the real world that way.

Thank you for sharing information about what you saw. I saw much of the same in related work in the past. Now, it’s all around us.

“Some of trumps pre-campaign comments called for legalizing and taxing pot and putting the proceeds into drug education programs.”

I think this is a great idea. Doubt Jeff Sessions will agree, sadly. IMO, cannabis should never have been criminalized.

“Trump taught his own kids that once they were hooked on alcohol or drugs it was game over. They they couldn’t compete in the real world that way.”

Yep. He did exactly that.

As a medical marijuana patient in Florida you’re never going to see me suggesting folks should use cannabis. That said, since I started using cannabis in 2015 for medicinal reasons life sure has improved for me & my family.

IMO, folks should have the right to use it medicinally or recreationally if that’s what they want to do. Folks that choose to abuse cannabis will pay the price for their efforts. Too much of anything isn’t good for us. Cannabis is no different in that regard.

Prohibitionists are not going to be happy with soon-to-be Senator Roy Moore =>

“America is facing enemies abroad that require us to focus on rebuilding our military,” Moore said in an emailed statement Friday. “We are facing political discord internally and need to focus on large issues like repealing Obamacare and tax reform. Medical marijuana is a state issue and should be decided by the states, not the United States Senate.”

That’s another reason I look forward to Moore being in the Senate. We need more like him!

The lies are cyclical. First it made you violent, back when it was first criminalized. Then it made you a pacifist who wouldn’t go and fight the Vietcong. Now I guess we’re back to the violent lie.

Some people are unbalanced and on a day to day basis barely avoid freaking out one way or another.

Adding weight to one end of their balance beam, whether that weight is kinky sex, some sorts of porno, pot, speed, alcohol, or prescription drugs that in theory help them, doesn't matter, it's just enough to tip them over the edge.

LMAO!!! Pretty much the same here. Got invited to an "acquaintance luncheon," and lasted about five minutes. The Miami Proctor at the time (Sandy Andron) was a decent sort, but my God!, the rest were insufferable. What a pack of puffed-up poppinjays. I could barely breathe.

Asked where the Men's Room was and never looked back. 1982.

Everyone agrees schizophrenia and pot should not mix.

I’m certain that if you took a bunch of schizophrenics and got them fired up on liquor every day...you would be able to establish a link between liquor and violence.

tRASH STUDY.

“pot makes potheads violent”

total and complete BS.

It says pot make schizophrenics violent.

All 1,100 test subjects were already in the nut house because they didn’t know what planet they were on. Once release, those who used pot regularly were more violent than the nut cases that didn’t.

Gee, that’s a world-class study right there.

And you give it credence? If so, that’s funny right there. I don’t care who you are.

That’s what people always say about pot.
When I saw those red eyes I knew I only had a few minutes to get out of the house.
It does affect people differently, but the truth is that for many people it makes them more violent.

Anecdotally I know quite a few potheads. All are strident Hillary supporters who make threatening comments about Trump and conservatives. They used to call for Bush’s assassination. It may make them lethargic but it doesn’t fill them with love.

Medical marijuana is a state issue and should be decided by the states, not the United States Senate.

Of course - Roy Moore is a real constitutionalist, unlike some FR phonies.

Yes. Pothead freepers also exhibit since of violent ideation on these threads. Everyone who disagrees with them is “stupid” or “uneducated” just like liberals like to say.

One thing pot does do is turn people into fanatic pot evangelists.

I would be willing to entertain “some”, but not “many”. At least, not percentage wise.

Personally, I’ve never seen it, but anything that impacts the mind will always have “outliers”. It’s why prescription (and non-presecription) drugs have adverse effects warnings. You just never know...
