It’s been pointed out that’s a strobe light according to other Freepers.
I did hear a police recording where they thought that was the shooter, but then later learned it was a strobe light.
There are no other windows in Mandalay broken, only two in the shooter’s suite.
If I hear about that one more time I’m going to...

The nearby hotels — and the people therein — were darn “lucky” to escape this weirdo’s evil. There were acres of glass that he could have taken out with his arsenal.
Apart from the possibility of his shooting at the fuel tanks, it looks like he was totally focused on killing as many innocent people as possible.
Videos showed the 4th floor shooter still shootin hours later ...

Someone pointed out in another thread that the windows on the lower floors open 6". I have no idea if that is true or not.
Eight hundred pound hurricane glass windows aren’t designed to be opened. Have you seen a single pic of the lower floors of Mandalay with even one window open six inches?

What I haven’t seen yet is flashes from the 32nd floor.

Nope, I've never been to the Mandalay Bay, so I have to rely on what others say they've seen. See post 17 here.
