I am very proud to say I am a direct descendant of Charles who became Charles Martel after this battle. The word “martel” means hammer; after he and his brave Christians slaughtered a reported 375,000 muslim animals in an epic eight day battle Charles became Charles Martel. After this ass kicking the muslim animals moved east and took parts of Spain which they held until June 1492 when the Spanish crown finally kicked them out. Out of money, Spain took a chance and funded a guy named Columbus. Charles Martel was the great grandfather of Charlemagne.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Meriwether Lewis, who died of gunshot wounds. It is still unclear if he killed himself or was murdered. When will the cover-up end?
