I had a black coworker, a guy in his early 40’s, who told me his dad lived under slavery in the south.
Guy had a college degree, too.
So you discount his statement that “they are not getting it at home”? It sounds to me that Mr. Kenney gets it...
The cowardly attacker is 27-years-old, so the odds of his grandmother having been a slave are awfully slim.
= = =
His grandmother might be 12 + 12 + 27 years old, and born about 1966, right in the middle of the greatest slavery period.
8 years of Obama is the cause.
The exact figures are disputed, but it’s more-or-less accurate, actually. But it is misleading.
Freed blacks made up more than 10% of the black population in the USA prior to the Civil War.
There were ample numbers of free blacks who were traditional slave owners -— several owned white “indentured servants for life” even (the distinction of a slave being indentured servants’ children were free).
Some, for example in and around New Orleans, even fought for the Confederacy to preserve their slave-holding rights.
But the 28% statistics is misleading for a couple of reasons — notably, free blacks often bought friends and family in a form of magnanimous slavery — and didn’t change the status from “slave” to “free” as a tax dodge — being that freedmen paid higher taxes than a slave on his or her labor for his or her own account.
No. They would not be here at all. Just like the mental midgets protesting Columbus. No Columbus, they never exist.Something I learned way back in 7th Grade when I read Evan Hunter’s Danger Dinosaur.
His grandmother my ass
Maybe his x4 grandmother woulda been born a slave
Not made a slave.....made a slave woulda been way back likely
My x2 grandpas had slaves....and that is close as it gets
Not that I give a fairy’s fart worth of a damn
“So you discount his statement that they are not getting it at home? It sounds to me that Mr. Kenney gets it...”
In and of itself, I would have viewed that statement as you did. But when he added in “not getting it from the government” my BS detector alerted. He is right, that “they are not getting it at home,” but the extension of that statement is not “that the government is remiss for not closing that gap.” Blacks, more than ANY ethnic group in this country has been “coddled” by our government. They have been told that in a real sense, that they are “inferior people” who have to be “cared for.” Now, I don’t think that they are in any way inferior. You only have to look at those of their ethnicity who have availed themselves of the educational opportunities afforded to ALL citizens. That said, you can’t “warehouse them” and let them produce offspring who are left to grow up in the ghettos of our large DemoRAT-run cities, and expect to see them turn out like Col. West or Dr. Carson. And don’t get me started on the “thought processes” that allow a 325 lb. Black woman to sit on her 9 year-old niece to affect discipline that results in the child’s death. I don’t think that even an African Tribal Black would do such a thing.
If the perp’s grandmother was made a slave, this piece of gutter trash should be blaming Lyndon Johnson.
In their youth, and even sometimes beyond, ALL people need guidance from home, from school, and sometimes more. And, MOST people need good leadership. That is not the same thing as “guardians” — a word you put in Tyrone’s mouth. He ((Tyrone) may be as you say, but he also may not be, and well stated or not, he does understand that black society (and I would add even much of white society, etc.) has broken down.
Considering that ol’ Tyrone is 70 yrs. of age, and speaks about “a period of time”... Trump has not been in power for long, and he certainly is not the entire government. Just think of the scandal after scandal, especially in the state and local governments Tyrone would most likely be familiar with...
But if you want to narrow it down to one government leader whom Tyrone might have hoped his people could look up to in a recent “period of time”, well, now who would THAT be?
I’m a senior and entitled to a free bus pass. Thought it may be useful to have now that I have moved back into town and beginning to doubt my driver’s license will be renewed this spring due to vision problems. Took one experimental bus trip...was terrified by my fellow passengers and gave up on that idea. Push comes to shove, I’ll be using Uber and ordering my groceries delivered to the door via Amazon.
The title should be Man not Dan.
It would be nice if we could edit...

You CAN edit. You’ve been here over 10 years and you don’t know that??
Please enlighten me.
The bottle of urine to dump on people is an Antifa thing. Dig a little, find that connection. Paid crazy, Antifa thug. Probably BLM, too. His being nuts doesn’t preclude being either one, it actually makes it more likely. I believe they’re recruiting unstable people intentionally, people who have no impulse control who aren’t afraid of committing violence.
You owe me for making my grandmother a slave

Yeah? Well you owe ME cause my grandfather died trying to set your grandmother free.
(We’re talking hypotheticals. Great great. Probably even Great great great...)

They can and often do fix mistakes in the Title.
“Marquis Evans-Royster, 27”
Obviously not a math whiz if he thinks his grandmother could have been a slave.
A 27 year old man complaining that his grandmother was a slave. Unless she lived in an Arabic country, it just shows the deplorable state of mathematics education of the angry nut.
