He’s right about the quality of play, the product is crap. Seriously, every other play is some west coast offense throw it 2 yards wide and let the receiver do the rest. The protests are a factor, but not everything.
The games are unbelievably boring, too long, too many penalties, too many rules, too many rule changes, too expensive to attend, a ripoff all around.
The real test is the super bowl. Will people continue the stupid tradition just to overindulge, or will the find something better to do?
Too many commercials. I started giving up on the NFL after watching a punt, followed by a TV timeout, and when the game came back on, there had been a penalty on the punt, so there was a rekick, followed by another TV timeout. There is no flow to the game when there is more commercial time than playing time.
