Why not send her a card? Call her on the phone? Why use Twitter?
“Why not send her a card? Call her on the phone? Why use Twitter?”
Can’t you do all 3? I think many people do all of those things and more. I would imagine that there will be a big party for Hillary as 70 is a big milestone. I know mot Americans have a party for the big 7-0.
“Why not send her a card? Call her on the phone? Why use Twitter?”
I think that is odd. Why is it not enough to wish her mother a happy birthday, on her own? Why does she want to SHOW so many people that she is doing so? It’s virtue signaling. And I also think it means that Hillary’s birthday really doesn’t mean that much to her - or else a private birthday wish would satisfy, and she wouldn’t care if anyone else knew she did it.
For the publicity.....getting the "happy family" image in the media is the name of the game.
Typically (at least with my kids), we send gifts, cards and make the Happy Birthday sing-a-long phone call behind the scenes. And on Facebook, we will post some cute childhood pic with a birthday greeting for the benefit of others. More of a good excuse to do a little prideful boasting about your totally awesome kids. :-)

They may well have but remember Hillary is selling a book. So
the more public exposure they think helps book sales. I’ll be
glad to see the Holidays over and the end of the book promotion.
Clinton birthday tweets—as usual, all for show. They try to pretend they are a normal family.
