If true, that should be a warning for anyone considering the CIA as a career. They most certainly do not ‘have your back’ if you get into deep trouble. If true, the CIA treats it’s members like disposable merchandise, as in crippled bloodhounds or damaged bomb searching robots.

That doc is tagged as a hoax and I don’t see it in the official JFK file archives released to date.

Do you?

I have long held that the CIAs involvement was primarily after the fact and not in the planning. Rogue agents were involved and the CIA was trying to co er it’s collective a$$.

I just googled the sentence: “Oswald subject was trained, under cover of the office of Naval Intelligence, for Soviet assignments.”

The top search result shows the same image of this document form a reddit forum dated Nov 13, 2013.

More than that, THIS was already posted on Freerepublic on 4/28/2005...

Who’s to say that the Soviets didn’t “flip” Oswald?

But on the other hand I highly doubt that they would risk starting WW3 unless they knew for sure that LBJ, Hoover, etc was in their pocket.

If Lee Harvey Oswald was CIA, then Jack Ruby was CYA.

I’m not a conspiracy theory type. There is nothing about 9/11 or the moon landing that raises even a hair of suspicion on me. All the conspiracy theory “evidence” is far better explained within the context of the official story, for those who know anything about science or how things work. But the JFK assassination has a few odd things about it that don’t add up. I’m still on the fence with that one.

JFK assassination researcher Anthony Marsh, I think he is into the conspiracy angle:

Discussion dated, 2006, so clearly not in the current batch

"We have only discussed this document a few times in the past. It is a fake and not that cleverly done.

John McAdams immediately suspected it was a fake and asked us if there is anything to confirm that it is indeed a fake.

When I looked at it I knew instantly that it was a fake. How? It is not written in the proper format using the proper CIA style. One tip off is the marking "CO-2-34,030." That is actually from a Secret Service report. How would I know? Because I had obtained and used on my Web site some of the pages from that SS report, so the notation jumped out as a fabrication. What someone did was take a page from the SS report, maybe even downloaded it from my Web page, removed the original text and wrote their own. Also the wording is not how the CIA would word a document of that type at that time. They would not refer to Hoover by name or agencies by common names. Instead you would see code words like ODACID. You need to look at hundreds of thousands of genuine CIA documents as I have to develop a mental database of what genuine CIA documents look like. I have no doubt that the hoaxer really thought that something like that was said. I don't think the intent was like the other hoaxes to discredit all JFK assassination research. I think someone just assumed that he knew enough to create a realistic fake to incriminate the CIA."

At the least, that has been around since 2006; so why are we hearing about it now? Someone's trying to stir the waters up.

JFK assassination discussion group.

McCone Rowley document

That document has made the rounds long ago so, I'd be careful about it.

Anyone with the right equipment might be able to manufacture something like this.

He was active in aerial reconnaissance of Mainland China and had a Confidential security clearance.

This doesn’t sound right to me.

As one who was involved, while in the military, in a related area, I and my fellow soldiers held Top Secret/SCI clearances. A Confidential clearance is the lowest level of security clearance which, ordinarily, would not allow access to the level of information that Oswald was, supposedly, granted.

There is a book, Dr. Mary’s Monkey, that in the last several chapters covers Lee Harvey Oswald’s role in the Kennedy assassination. It’s not what we’ve been told or led to believe all these years. The book is heavily cited and the author backs up much of his statements with testimonials. It’s a fascinating book which does not start off about the Kennedy assassination, but it’s the kind of book that you won’t want to put down.

From the Wall Street Journal
NOVEMBER 24, 2007

Oswald was a dedicated communist who had defected to the Soviet Union in 1959 out of disgust with American capitalism. After becoming disillusioned with Soviet life, he returned to the U.S. in 1962. In early 1963, he bought a scoped rifle through the mail and soon used it to fire a shot (which missed) at retired general Edwin Walker, the head of the John Birch Society in Dallas. In the summer of 1963, Oswald was active in street demonstrations in support of Castro. In September 1963, he visited the Soviet and Cuban embassies in Mexico City seeking a travel visa that would allow him to travel to Cuba.

Oswald was among the radicals of the time who saw Third World revolutionaries like Castro as the wave of the communist future. He was well aware of Kennedy's efforts to overthrow Castro's regime. As a Senate investigative committee suggested in 1975, Oswald shot Kennedy to interrupt his administration's plans to assassinate Castro or to overthrow his regime in Cuba.

Ignoring Oswald's communist links, journalists and political leaders quickly claimed the president was a martyr to civil rights. Earl Warren said that Kennedy had "suffered martyrdom as a result of the hatred and bitterness that has been injected into the life of our nation by bigots." Martin Luther King said the assassination had to be viewed against the backdrop of violence against civil rights marchers in the South. James Reston wrote in the New York Times that "something in the nation itself, some strain of madness and violence, had destroyed the highest symbol of law and order."

The consensus opinion was that Kennedy was a victim of hate and bigotry, a casualty of his support for civil rights. The Cold War and Kennedy's ongoing feud with Castro were rarely mentioned as factors behind the assassination. The reasons? Mrs. Kennedy wanted her husband remembered as a modern-day Abraham Lincoln. Lyndon Johnson feared complicating relations with the Soviet Union. Liberals feared a replay of the McCarthy period, when the Wisconsin senator inflamed public opinion about fears of domestic communism.

Regardless of all the theories, there is no question that Oswald spent a lot of time thinking about killing anti-Communist political leaders.

In the 1950s, he told his brother he had a plan to kill Eisenhower.

Before the 1960 election, he told a Marxist friend he was going to kill Vice President Nixon.

Oswald was the prime suspect in the attempted murder of John Birch Society member General Edwin Walker.

Oswald told his wife he was going to murder John Kennedy, months before that actually happened.

Finally, after killing Kennedy, he murdered a police officer.

Oswald, in my opinion, had no moral constraints about planning or committing murders.
