The author, who slapped away the star's butt grabs and laughed off his vulgar language on the set of 1985 TV film 'Death of a Salesman,' still feels conflicted: "I loved the attention. Until I didn't."
This is a story I've told so often I'm sometimes surprised when someone I know hasn't heard it. It begins, "Dustin Hoffman sexually harassed me when I was 17." Then I give the details: When I was a senior in high school in New York City, interning as a production assistant on the set of the Death of a Salesman TV film, he asked me to give him a foot massage my first day on set; I did. He was openly flirtatious, he grabbed my ass, he talked about sex to me and in front of me.

Hoffman does like girls. When I worked on Tootsie, he was very flirtatious but I really liked him. But then I don’t consider flirtation to be harassment.
Hoffman was 50 at the time. Guess we are ALL guilty. What is the purpose of having power except to use it?
You are on a roll.
I think some of this is getting out of hand but I guess I remember stuff like this in the old days and it didn’t trigger me...but she was underage.
These days...if I was in any kind of office setting or I guess any setting.. I would not touch or playfully joke about anything.
I love the left eating its own...
Had a friend who worked for SAG and Hoffman asked her out. She turned him down because she didn’t think it would be right to mix work with pleasure. Said she’s regretted it ever since.
Do you wonder if she is over that regret now that all of this is spilling out?
My best friend’s mother turned down a date with Brando in the 50s. She didn’t regret it but I thought she was nuts. (She was beautiful.)
Always take advantage of a situation! Hoffman seemed very nice to me. Everyone is coming out the woodwork with stories.
I met a lot of stars when I was at Pepperdine Universoty, Malibu (battle of the Network Stars) and later when I lived in Malibu.
I wonder if I can choose someone at random to claim harassment?
Guess Mr. Hoffman really WAS a Little Big Man.
Actually a pretty good article.
Gives a lot of detail, and the woman’s ambivalent feelings about it.
Dustin Hoffman is a guy who would never get laid if he wasn’t rich and famous. Sorta like Harvey Weinstein.
Anyway, my experience with actors has been that they are mostly an odd group of people. Not a lot of common sense, and not an awareness of other people's boundaries.
Doesn't apply to all of them, of course, but there was definitely a learning curve when I had to deal with them.
It nice to see us use the enemies tactics against them. Hold them accountable according to their own rules.
George HW Bush was recently portrayed as one of the most evil men in history for pinching a woman while he was in his wheelchair.
All the powerful people in Hollywood who have ever taken flirting a little too far should be pilloried without mercy. That’s their standard. Hold them to it.
No wonder they all circled the wagons around Bill Clinton.
Did Hoffman place a cowboy hat on the door?
Anne’s pretty hot in this. And then Dustin also has to deal with that homely gal, Katherine Ross, lol!
Just spin the dial, or maybe
Spin the Bottle to choose a name.
