The GOP is fine with running defense until they can help the Democrats get back in control of the House to try and thwart President Trump.
We cannot allow that to happen though, I am still surprisingly upbeat, they may have flipped VA but we have been working hard in Wisconsin and Michigan.
It's not about throwing up your hands at the first set back.

Michigan has been a 30 year project for us that culminated in the state going red in 16. Hell even Detroit elected a white dude as mayor twice.
VA is deep blue, Hillary won by 5 points, Gillespie lost by 8. That is the penalty for not embracing Trumpism. This guy did the same thing.

+1. Also, look at the election NUMBERS. Trump got about 700,000 more votes last year than Ed G got.
Ed G didn’t work hard enough to get those votes. If he had gotten maybe only 60 or 70% of them, he would have won.
