Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby, and a handful of other Republican senators called on Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore to withdraw from the race if a report that he initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl in 1979 is true.
Shelby, who backed Luther Strange in the primary but did not go on to endorse Moore in the general election, agreed.
"If these allegations are true, there is no place for Roy Moore in the United States Senate," he said in a statement.
Arizona Sen. John McCain tweeted that the allegations were "deeply troubling and disqualifying."
Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake shared that sentiment in a tweet.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, said she was "horrified" by the allegations and also called for Moore to withdraw if the reports are accurate.
Sen. Cory Gardner of Colorado says, "The allegations against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore are deeply troubling."

Yet not one suggestion that people should be wary of false accusations and take into account the full character of the accused and the accuser when deciding how much merit to give them. Women do lie. They (dare I assert this) may even lie more frequently and with greater conviction than men.
My gut feeling is that this a a BS attention getting slander by a mentally ill women orchestrated by Moore’s political enemies.
Don’t stop with Moore, lets dwell into all the skeleton closets in Congress!!!!!
It seems to me they are trying to lose this race rather than have a man who says he will oppose McConnell win it.
Yup, the swamp has been playing while Trump has been away. I suspect Trump will side with Moore on this and smack the swamp for false charges similar to the ones they hit him with when all else had failed. Mitch needs to go!

I really hope more comes from the Saudi prince who has been arrested and his support of all these swamp creatures in DC. I strongly suspect these Saudi’s were behind the Las Vegas attack, which would indirectly put these swamp creatures in the hot seat or a possible noose IF these suspicions play out to be true.
